What you'll do:
- Lead the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Take a hands-on role in accounting operations, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Take full ownership of accounting activities across multiple subsidiaries, managing each entity end-to-end, from day-to-day operations through closing and reporting.
- Build and improve accounting processes, controls, and workflows to support a growing multi-entity environment.
- Work closely with external auditors and tax advisors, managing ongoing communication and ensuring smooth audit and compliance processes.
- Support and manage intercompany transactions and consolidations across entities.
- Drive operational excellence across the accounting function, identifying areas for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Own key accounting areas and ensure alignment with US GAAP standards.
Requirements:
Must have:
- Certified CPA with a degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 1.5–2 years of experience as an Assistant Controller or similar role, following internship experience at a Big 4 firm.
- Strong hands-on experience with full monthly close processes.
- Experience working in a multi-entity environment, with an understanding of subsidiary-level accounting.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP.
- Highly detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with external stakeholders.
- Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
Nice to have:
- Experience in a startup or high-growth tech company.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite.
- Familiarity with automation tools or AI-based workflows.
